Once you’ve chosen your Nido room, you’ll need to secure it with us by paying a £100 holding fee to secure your room.

New to the UK? No worries. To make your life easier, and put you at ease, we have put together some useful links for you to review so you can better prepare:

To secure your room with us, you’ll need to sign your agreement and pay the £100 holding deposit which goes towards your first (or only) instalment.

If you’re paying in full, or if you’ve opted for a payment plan of 4 instalments, the first (or full) payment doesn’t need to be paid upon booking however it will need to be paid before your arrival in September.

If you’ve booked after the first instalment is due you will need to pay either the total amount if you are paying in full, or if you’re paying instalments the first payment.

Yes, you will be asked to pay a holding deposit of £100 to complete your booking

The holding deposit is a non-refundable payment which allows us to reserve your chosen room until the start of your tenancy. The £100 will be deducted from your first (or only) instalment.

Yes, an International guarantor will be required if you are paying in instalments or are 16-years-old. We collect all of your guarantor information and will send an email to them for you. Easy.

We talk a lot to the people living with us so we know that payment options are important. You can choose to pay in 4 instalments or in full. It’s your choice.

When booking your room, you’ll be given all three options to choose from. Once selected, you’ll be given the payment breakdown and dates so it’s clear. Any future payments can be made using the Nido Portal.

When booking a room for the academic year, you will be required to pay a £100 deposit upon making your reservation.

You will then have the choice to pay everything up front or in four instalments (location dependent). When choosing multiple instalments, the full accommodation fee for your stay will be divided into separate amounts. The first instalment is due prior to check-in on 10 August 2022.

Other instalment dates are as follows:

Four instalments: second due 26/09/2022, third due 04/01/2023 and fourth due on 12/04/2023.

The health safety and wellbeing of our students is our top priority. We continue to monitor the situation closely and are proactively following healthcare and government advice from the World Health Organization, HSE, and the Department of Foreign affairs to help ensure we are effectively managing the implications of coronavirus and responding as necessary.

Within our residences:

  • We keep a stock of hand sanitiser for you to use in each of our residences
  • We’re frequently cleaning all communal and high footfall areas, following our strict COVID-19 sanitising protocol.
  • Cleaning schedules, sanitising stations and social distancing guidance are available to ensure we continue to care for each other and keep our communities safe.
  • A visitor questionnaire and sign in will be required to ensure our guests do not have any symptoms which may put our community at risk.
  • We are running all events virtually via our Instagram and Facebook channels and are slowly re-introducing in-person events
  • Our teams are available 24/7 to provide you with dedicated support and ensure you stay safe and well.
  • All of our buildings have 24/7 CCTV and secure entry points.
  • Our teams have been trained on COVID-19 secure protocol, adhere to latest official government guidance, and ensure appropriate social distancing, sanitising and safeguarding measures are in place.
  • We strongly recommend that all of our students follow the most recent guidance from the HSE and the World Health Organization.

It is perfectly understandable that you might be anxious or worried about being away from home.

Here are some ways to relieve stress and anxiety:

  • Look for ideas of exercises you can do and are comfortable with
  • Spend time doing things you enjoy – this might include reading, cooking, other indoor hobbies or listening to the radio or watching TV programmes
  • Try to eat healthy, well-balanced meals, drink enough water and try to avoid smoking, alcohol and drugs
  • Keep your windows open to let in fresh air, get some natural sunlight if you can, or get outside into the garden (where possible)

You can also speak to your residence team about it and they can help with local resources, groups and university support too.

In person viewings are available again at Nido residences across the UK. You can select a virtual tour or in-person tour via our book a tour form.

We ask that if on an in-person tour, you maintain appropriate social distancing and if not except, wear a face coverings at all times.

You can still book virtual tours and 3D virtual tours of our common areas and room types are still available on our website.

Our response is still in line with government guidance to isolate the flat or studio, employ track, trace and test to the flat or studio and all those they may have come into contact with.

We also carry out extra deep cleaning of the residence and common areas and close communal space. We then carefully manage spaces once they reopen.
