In just one week, from 1st to 5th March, one of Portugal’s favourite celebrations begins – Carnival. Our tradition is to dress up in costumes, becoming characters, animals, professions… The more creative you are, the better your outfit is! And once fully dressed for the occasion, the Portuguese take the party to the streets and dance to the most iconic tunes of the season. One of the best parties of the year! That’s why it lasts for days. Our top tip is: don’t miss the Torres Vedras Carnival! There, fun is in charge, and the invitation is open: get creative, gather your friends, and come celebrate the most authentic Carnival in Portugal! From giving away flowers and treats, to sharing important resources about the origins of today and the continued plight of women worldwide - our teams across Europe are celebrating International Women’s Day!
Been living here since late 2022 and recently renovated my stay until next year (2025). Choosing this building has been a great choice! The studios have everything you could need in terms of amenities if you're one person, and the property itself has a mixture of your own personal space and areas for socializing and lots of activities year round. Location is great too; 25-30 minutes away from Lisbon by train and all you need nearby, walking distance (supermarket, buses beaches, shopping, train station, etc). And in my case, close to work. Also, price includes utilities (power, water, internet), so it's great and makes it more affordable, or at least more value for your buck. But the most important part for me (as a foreigner) is the sense that I feel welcomed, at home, safe and very supported here. And two people are responsible for this: Célia and Catarina. They look after me and help out whenever I need something, from parcels to rebooking help. They make all the difference in the world and I love them both for that. Hope this stay is for many years to come.
