Once you’ve chosen your Nido room, you’ll need to secure it with us by paying deposit.
Your deposit will be equal to 2 month’s rent.
Upon signing the lease agreement, tenants are required to pay 1 month’s rent in advance for the initial month, and a deposit equivalent to 2 month’s rent, is held until the end of the lease.
The deposit is a security deposit and will be returned to you at the end of your stay if there are no damages to the property.
Please note rent is due monthly and you will be responsible for any bank fees incurred in the transfer process. To avoid this, ensure you use the correct details (available to view on the Nido Portal) and are aware of any international transfer fees that may apply.

We talk a lot to the people living with us so we know that payment options are important. You can choose to pay via direct debit (SEPA) or bank transfer. It’s your choice.

We offer one and two bedroom apartments, with their own bathroom, living and kitchen space. Or you can opt for a studio room, where you’ll have access to your own bathroom as well as a private kitchen area. In the majority of our Nido’s you will have access to an on-site gym which is free to use, as well as comfortable social and study spaces. In some of our newer Nido’s you can also find private dining rooms that you can book out with friends for dinner parties; gaming rooms with projector screens, and lastly cinema rooms complete with plenty of comfortable seating and surround sound.
Yes we do, please check with the residence team which room types are best suited for dual occupancy. Our Premium Plus Studios, for example, all come with a balcony and are a great space for two.
It’s also possible to register two CPR numbers at the Premium Plus Studio.

Yes, the agreement for your apartment, which you are required to accept in order to complete your booking and secure your room, is a legally binding contract.

Nido is home away from home for young professionals and all students that are 17 years of age or over, from any university and any country in the world.
These aren’t included in your room as they tend to be personal items.
Yes, we have high speed WiFi throughout each Nido so you can be connected at all times. More information on how to connect will be provided upon your arrival and this is included in your rent so you do not need to pay for it.
We do allow day and night guests, however, for your own safety and security, there are a few guest policies in place:
Cleaning services are not included in your stay. However, they are available. All you have to do is to contact your Nido team to book your cleaning service for a small fee.
We work hard to make sure that pretty much everything is included in your stay. Just so it’s clear, the below items are not included in your rent:
Yes, TVs are provided in all our studios, and apartments.
We have laundry rooms in all of our Nidos. You’ll have 24-hour access to washers, dryers and some sites will have ironing boards available.
To get real-time availability of the washers/dryers, download the AppWash App.
Prices for a wash and dry can be found in your Welcome Book which you’ll receive upon checking-in. Payment is done through a pay-as-you-go card which can be purchased from a machine in the laundry room.

When moving in, you will receive your keys/fob for your room, access to the building and usually a post box key.
If you do lose any of your keys or the fob, please let us know right away for health and safety reasons. You will be charged for a replacement, which the residence team can arrange for you.
Yes, your on-site gym can be accessed free of charge 24/7, so you are welcome to work out whenever you feel like it.
Upon check-in, we do require that you complete a gym induction to ensure you’re comfortable using all of the equipment.
No, you are not permitted to sublet any part of your studio or 1 bedroom apartment, as per your accepted tenancy license agreement.
Our maintenance teams are available five days a week to help with any issues or questions. They’re also available for any emergencies during the weekends.
If you do experience any maintenance issues during your stay, simply log it on your maintenance portal (full information can be found in your Welcome Book). The team will update you on the progress of the job and book a time with you for accessing your room.
We encourage everyone to bring their bikes to university and all of our Nidos have ample bike storage available. In fact, at Nido Bryggen there’s enough bike storage for everyone to bring two bikes with them!
Bikes are stored at your own risk and you should ensure you have sufficient cover in place for your bike. In no circumstances should bikes be stored in your room, corridor or in the communal space in the building.

Electric scooters should not be kept or charged anywhere in the building under any circumstances. This includes your apartment, common spaces and the bike store.
When checking in to your Nido, we’ll need to see a form of photo identification (passport, drivers license etc).
If you’d like to move apartments, we’ll always try to accommodate it. Please do note that we can only offer room changes if there are rooms available to move into within your Nido residence and there is an understandable reason for wanting the change.
Keep in mind that different rooms can be offered at varying prices. The rates are based on a number of things, like the size of the room, location in the building and its availability so it may be that you will have to pay a different rate to occupy another room.

To ensure you get the best check in experience, we will send out an email with different timeslots when it gets nearer to your check-in weekend, so you can book a time that’s suitable for you.
When sending through termination, we will confirm termination is received, conduct a comprehensive review of tenant accounts, and ensure the verification of any outstanding balances or charges.
Within 14 days following the move out inspection, we will finalise the agreed settlement deposit amount, promptly communicate it to the tenant, and obtain the necessary bank details for the deposit’s return.
Within 30 days after the lease end date, we will expedite the refund process by promptly transferring the deposit amount to the bank account details provided by the tenants.
