Nido has been named Investor of the Year at the 2025 Property Week Student Accommodation Awards, recognising a landmark year for the business following the acquisition of Livensa Living and continued expansion across Europe.
The win reflects a period of significant growth for Nido. In March, the business completed the acquisition of Livensa Living, the largest purpose built student accommodation transaction ever completed in Europe. The integration of the portfolio has strengthened Nido’s position as one of Europe’s leading student accommodation platforms, backed by CPP Investments.
Alongside this, Nido has expanded its presence in Southern Europe, entering the Italian market with new properties in Milan and Turin. These openings mark an important step in Nido’s strategy to grow its footprint in high demand education hubs and deliver a next generation resident experience across more European cities.
The awards also recognised the dedication of Nido colleagues. Blanca Media was a finalist for Rising Star and Diana Tavares was a finalist for Unsung Hero of the Year.
Carlo Matta, chief executive at Nido, said: "Being named Investor of the Year is a proud moment for everyone at Nido and reflects the incredible progress the business has made over the past year. The acquisition of Livensa Living and our entry into Milan and Turin have strengthened our European platform and created new opportunities for our residents, our teams, and our investors.
“I am especially pleased to see Matt and Marta recognised for their achievements. Their work, and the commitment of colleagues across the business, underpins everything we do."
The award highlights Nido’s ongoing commitment to long term value creation, operational excellence, and delivering an exceptional resident experience across its growing European portfolio.
